Direct Action Art
“Direct Action Art” is a catalyst for thought and action. Acting as a kind of removable graffiti, these mixed media collages were placed on-top of framed ads on the subway cars of the F-train. Ultimately the commuters are “judges” of the work, as they can remove the pieces and destroy them, keep them for themselves or leave them in place for others to enjoy.
“Direct Action Art” is disruptive. The intent is to force an inadvertent audience to shift thought and perspective and create the possibility for a new series of events to unfold.
